How To Navigate This Website

A screen resolution of 800x600 is recommended, although not mandatory. If you have dual monitors, it is recommended that you open your browser window in the right-hand monitor. This will enable popup windows to appear in the left-hand monitor. Browsers Netscape 7.2 or 8.0, and Firefox work well with this site, as does Internet Explorer.

Technical Stuff

I use Netscape 7.2 composer to edit these web pages. When I want to insert Hebrew / Yiddish text, I use the new NVU ("New View") HTML editor (http://www.nvu.com). NVU has a great right-to-left facility, needed for Hebrew text.

For info on adding Hebrew text to HTML documents, see http://mysite.verizon.net/jialpert/YidText/YiddishOnWeb.htm

History

This website was created July 11, 2003. It was designed by Dov Yaffe (originally of Leeds, England).

In Dec. 2004, Dov married a young lady from San Antonio, Texas, and the young couple has settled there.

To view the invitation to their wedding, click here.

If you'd like Dov to assist you with your website, contact him at yechi2001@hotmail.com.

Jason I Alpert (Yosl) resumed responsibility for this website on or about 11 January 2005. Fortunately, Dov has continued to help Yosl with the administration of this website. He has created all of the beautiful graphics that appear herein, such as the logo at the top of this page.

A counter was finally installed on the Homepage on May 30, 2005 (Memorial Day).
